Visa Process
For International participants, the sort of visa that you will need in order to participate in a conference in the United States is the B-1, which is a business visitor visa. Irrespective of a conference in any field, you will have to obtain a B1 visa to be allowed to enter the country to participate.
The Class B visa is a type of non-immigrant visa provided by the US government to foreigners seeking temporary access to the country. The B-1 visa is granted to people wishing to enter for commercial purposes, while the B-2 visa is given to those who wish to enter for tourism or other non-commercial reasons.
Official information about applying for a visa can be found on the U.S. Department of State Bureau of Consular Affairs Visa Services website. The visa application time varies among countries. Attendees are encouraged to apply for visas as early as possible.
