Biography

Jason Robinson knew at an early age he wanted to serve others. Immediately after his high school graduation in 1993, Jason started his career as a firefighter. Determined to continue his professional growth, he expanded his level of service by becoming one of the first paramedics within his hometown fire department. Over his years as a public servant, he responded to many general industry and construction related accident scenes, which prompted him to consider his next step into the world of accident awareness, hazard prevention, and risk mitigation. After retiring with over 20 years of service as a firefighter/paramedic, he started working to achieve his master’s degree in occupational safety and health and minor degree in Environmental Management. While working on his education, he started providing safety consultation and training to industry firms. In addition, he pursed and obtained his outreach trainer certification in 1910 General Industry and 1926 Construction from Georgia Tech OTI center. His education, training, and experience would help guide him to become a safety professional with an organization.

In 2018, Jason was hired by E.R. Snell Contractor Inc., a Georgia based heavy civil contractor. Jason’s first assignment was to serve as the safety manager for a large project in Macon, the largest project in the company’s history. As the project progressed, his duties grew, and he soon became responsible for more divisions of the company, including three shops, twelve asphalt plants, and two portable concrete plants.

In 2022, as senior safety manager, Jason was tasked to lead the developmental mobilization phase of a large joint venture project with Archer Western and Walsh Construction. After the project had started, Jason resumed his day-to-day operations at E.R.Snell Contractor Inc.

In 2024, Jason joined Duffey Southeast, Inc., a Georgia based commercial general contractor. Working as safety manager, Jason works alongside the director of safety and lean construction to provide compliance inspections, corporate training, preconstruction meetings, and lean construction practices. Jason was recently a guest speaker at the AGC Construction Safety and Health Conference held in Jacksonville, FL. He is currently a member of the local AGC Georgia safety committee and a member of the Northwest Georgia Skills Challenge committee.

Jason will continue to use his education, training, experience, and values to benefit the construction industry and its rapidly changing safety needs. He believes that a vast majority of accidents are preventable with strong proper safety measures, training, and adherence to regulatory compliance.
